SJFVC Welcomes Our New Administrative Director Martita Martinez-Bravo

The Social Justice Fund for Ventura County (SJFVC)is pleased to welcome Dr. Martha Martinez-Bravo, Martita" as our new Administrative Director. Martita was born and raised in Oxnard and is the oldest of nine children, from a Mexican-American family.  She has great appreciation for farm workers, as her father worked as a farm worker in Ventura County during her childhood.  She attained a bachelor's degree in Psychology & Social Behavior and a minor in Educational Studies from the University of California, Irvine. She also holds a master's and a doctorate degree  in clinical psychology from the California School of Professional Psychology at AIU.

In addition to helping SJFVC, she currently serves as a board director for kidSTREAM, an emerging children's museum in Ventura County. She is actively involved in her community, where she is a passionate advocate for social justice, anti-gun violence, and pediatric cancer.  Furthermore, she is involved as a catechist at Padre Serra Parish, as the Women In History school coordinator with the Camarillo branch of the American Association of University Women,  and is an active participant with her local Anti-Defamation League. Aside from her passion for social justice, Martita loves sharing valuable time with her three children, husband, extended family, and friends.
